Children hunting for eggs at the Reed Square Easter Egg Hunt

I am so excited to be bringing back the wonderful Reed Square Easter Egg Hunt in Church Hill.  It was started about 10 years ago by the Economy Family that used to live across the street from Reed Square.  They were nice enough to load and provide hundreds of eggs to be hidden all around Reed Square.  Tom and Eileen Saunders, members of the Reed Square Foundation, who also maintain Reed Square, were nice enough to set up the square perfectly and trim the grass longer than usual to make it great for hiding the eggs.

My daughter Jordan and her friends always loved going and hunting for eggs.  It was the cutest thing to see all these adorable kids in their cute spring outfits sitting outside the fence waiting for a chance to run in and collect those colorful eggs filled with treats.  Jordan gave Brian a heart attack when she was three because she kept trying to sit next to the cute older 6 year old on the curb. He was not ready for that!  Sadly, when the Economy family moved away, there wasn’t anyone to plan the egg hunt anymore.

Well this year that has changed!  I am bringing the Reed Square Easter Egg Hunt back to Church Hill!  We will have lots of eggs and treats for the children to find.   Grown-ups can have some fun too and enter to win an Amazon Echo Dot. The Egg Hunt starts at 10am on Saturday, March 31, 2018.  Reed Square is located on N 26th St, between East Grace and East Franklin Streets in Church Hill. So bring your kids (12 and under)!  Bring your friends!  Bring your friend’s kids!  There will be lots of fun to be had by all.
